Hi, I’m Shelley Lieber, The Wordy Woman, author of 4Ps to Publishing Success: How to Get Your Manuscript Off Your Desk & Into Print. I’ve built my career working in every area of the publishing industry: editorial, creative development, acquisitions, sales, marketing and publicity. Today the publishing environment is very different than when I entered the business straight out of college more 30 years ago. But oddly enough, the more things change, the more they stay the same! There may be a whole new set of rules and tools to learn and apply, but the necessary elements for successful publishing are the same as they have always been. The key to publishing success today is knowing how to integrate social media tools and emerging technology with the basic publishing process. The DIY Series

Sometimes all you need is a bit of guidance and you’re “good to go” on your own. The DIY (Do It Yourself) Series is designed to point you in the right direction with some targeted advice and resources—and send you off, ready to do it on your own.

Get Acquainted

Do you have 1 to 3 questions that need immediate attention? This 30-minute live phone session gives you the opportunity to resolve a writing, publishing or social media problem or just sample working with me without a long-term commitment. Audio recording and 30 days email follow up are included. Instructions on how to submit your questions and schedule the call will be sent to you upon receipt of payment.

Tune Up

Get professional feedback on your writing project or help developing your social media strategy. I’ll review your manuscript or proposal sample, social media profile, blog or website. One or two consultations can help determine if your book idea has the substance to be successful, eliminate writer’s block, identify short- and long-term publishing or social media goals, or outline a plan to start and complete your writing project or social media campaign. Private sessions are 45 minutes. Audio recording and 30 days email follow up are included. A consultation questionnaire and instructions on how to schedule the call will be sent to you upon receipt of payment.

Cost: One (1) Session: $300

Cost: Two (2) Sessions in same month (30 days) $550

Publishing Vision, Strategy & Social Media Intensive Programs

Intensive Programs provide full support and guidance for entrepreneurs who want in-depth, personal attention and professional assistance throughout the publishing process.

Social Media Training

Create a social media strategy to build your platform, brand and/or community. Social Media Training includes creating/revising profiles for social networking sites; specific strategies for building a presence on Facebook and LinkedIn; blogging and microblogging (Twitter) strategies, plus introduction to free and low-cost Internet tools and resources designed for authors. Book Shepherding

Exclusive one-on-one consultation program for writers, coaches, speakers and entrepreneurs who want to turn their message into an information business that may contain their book, blog website, newsletter, coaching, speaking and workshop presentations. Book Shepherding is a specialized service for authors offered by only a handful of qualified publishing consultants, and no two providers are alike. As a Book Shepherd, I bring my unique personal experience, talent and perspective to my client. My book shepherding services are highly individualized for each author. Selective enrollment. Book Visioning™

Book Visioning is truly a one-of-a-kind service developed and offered exclusively by me: Shelley Lieber, The Wordy Woman. No one else in the industry can provide the insight and direction for your writing project in the same way. I am one of very few publishing professionals who combine 30 years of traditional publishing experience with an in-depth knowledge of the new media trends. Book Visioning is a process that identifies your project’s strength, unique positioning in the market and potential for other formats (digital, audio, video, ancillary products and services). Authors are provided with a detailed critique, strategic plan for publishing success and customized referral list to service providers needed. Cost: One Time Fee.
